In relation to the above heading tobacco is one of the leading causes of preventable disease and death in India Resulting in 13.5 lakhs deaths annually. The increasing prevalence of tobacco use among children in adolescence is a matter of concern. Building on the success of last year’s campaign, this year too, the national campaign called “Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 3.0” (TFYC) will be launched by the Honorable Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare on 9th October 2025. Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Central Government has directed to implement 60 Days Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 3.0 in all districts.
